Description:

Scavenger that feeds on carrion, but will also eat eggs or kill newborn animals. In areas populated by humans, it also feeds at garbage dumps.

Habitat:

rainforest edge, along a road

Notes:

I spotted 3 black vultures sitting on a fence while I was on my way to Canalendres.

OH!!!! I LOVE vultures!!!! Hippy description: Vutures are the ultimate caretakers of the Earth! They consume disease and bacteria, then purify it before putting it back into the Earth. Their feces is sterile. Also their only form of self defense is to make themselves "undesirable" by vomiting on themselves to ward off predators. They are also very energy conscious and will always ride the wind current as opposed to flying whenever they can. They have such a bad rep considering how awesome they are!
