Field Notes

Description:

It is a moth of the Sesiidae family. The wingspan is 15-23 mm. The moth flies from June to July depending on the location. The larvae feed on Rumex species.

Habitat:

It is found in the Europe, more specifically in Spain, Portugal, Majorca, Southern England, Belgium, France, Corsica, Sardinia, Italy and Southern Germany, and obviously Croatia that Wikipedia didn't mention.

I would say you will never got some nasty Torticidae ID in such a short time, I was surprised myslf how easy it worked THAT time, knowing there would also be much harder times!
