Field Notes

Description:

We moved to a new property this spring and are trying to identify the plants on it. This one is probably the most unusual because of its bark. The bark has thin extensions. After doing some quick Googling, I think its Burning Bush. Does anyone know?

Habitat:

Growing around the bases of hardwood trees.
