Field Notes

Description:

I spotted this rattle snake while walking on a trail on a very warm day. I came a bit close too it and was able to back off a bit, and warn my hiking buddy- who was also startled. Within about 12 feet of this rattle snake was a larger gopher snake.
The snakes were sunning them selves and did not move away. I have a good zoom lens.
