Field Notes

Description:

part of the geometridae family found across Europe. I disturbed it whilst walking through the bracken and nettles in the meadow, I wouldnt have seen it otherwise as its wingspan is only around 18mm. Usually flying from end of April to the end of June.

Habitat:

seen in low common meadow, owned by the Yorkshire wildlife trust.

Notes:

larvae feeds on bracken.
