Description:

This looks like some of the photos of Tenodera sinensis in https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/71035-Tenodera/browse_photos... but the distribution of T. sinensis (in Wikipedia) is vague - Asia and nearby islands. I suppose that would include the Philippines. So this mantis might be Tenodera sinensis. However, there is a more interesting possibility. In the Tenodera species list in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tenodera.. there is a species called Tenodera philippina (Beier, 1929). There would, clearly, be no doubt about distribution with a name like that, but I just cannot find a picture. So that one can't even be considered.

Habitat:

Spotted on the wall of our backyard terrace.
