Field Notes

Description:

These lizards can vary from several different shades of brown but also can be green. They average at about 5.9 inches long including the tail. On exception they can get up to 7 inches. They have a distinguished ruby colored throat which expands in hope of attracting a potential mate or to show aggression or dominance on a male to male perspective.

Habitat:

They can be found in most of the southeastern parts of the United States and some Caribbean islands. They can found almost anywhere if you know where to look from bushes to the sides of your house.

Notes:

This guy practically knew he getting a photo taken and totally posed for it. How I got that close I will never know!
