Description:

Large, dark blue and shining, base (front) of elytra yellow or reddish-yellow. Three ridges on each elytron. Antennal segments have enlarged tips. (information from BugGuide)

Habitat:

City park, on a plant adjacent to a small pond

Notes:

This marks my first time photographing this species. I was so excited!
