Unfortunately no abdomen views, didn't want to get that friendly with him :) I figured it was a fishing spider of sorts, but like you I am not sure of the species.

This looks like a species of Fishing Spider, Genus Dolomedes. I am not sure of the species. Do you have any other views of this spider? A view of the abdomen would be helpful towards getting an ID. Take a look here and see if any of them look like your spider: http://bugguide.net/node/view/1985
