Field Notes

Description:

White underside and brown top. Stilt like legs and a medium length, tweezer-like bill. About 8 inches tall.

Habitat:

Wetlands and shallow water.

Notes:

This bird was seen at an extremely dry Cheyenne Bottoms. Less than 1% of the wetlands had water during the Spring of 2013.
