Euphoriba about 2 ft high. Grew in a column shrub configuration.

Habitat:

Coastal California.

Back in the day(about 22 years ago) when I collected the darned things, I am sure I could have given you the species name.... but I'll be darned if I can now. Keep looking, you'll find it!
Karen - Thanks for the heads up. I believe you are right about it being a Euphoriba but after looking around I'm fairly sure it's not a Candelabra.
You might want to verify using this site which has a list of different Euphorbia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euphorbia, which this is definitely a euphorbia and not a cactus
