Field Notes

Description:

Black and white spotted Tiger Moth , 1 cm long. Since they like to feign death, it is easy to photograph them on their sides or back. The abdomen has a red spot on the sides of each segment and the underside is black and white. The hind wings are white with some black spots. The top of the abdomen is black.

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light in the garden, San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.
