Description:
Spotted in woodland at Haggerston Castle, Northumbria.
11cm fully grown, the size of a Bluetit (Cyanistes caeruleus).
Lovely sweet and melancholic song, descending in note.
A migrating summer bird to Uk arriving between April and June and leaves in the Autumn (fall)
Habitat:
Some males are polygamus The young can fly between 13-16
days after hatching
Winters in central and Southern Africa
