This beetle has bright white stripes. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/1413496005 There is a pale form called Calomela pallida (to answer Leuba's question). I saw one in Queensland with pale stripes http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/1572526018 is probably going to be re-named. Calomela pallida is even more pallid and illustrated here http://www.rbgsyd.nsw.gov.au/science/Evolutionary_Ecology_Research/Ecology_of_Cumberland_Plain_Woodland/woodland_wildlife/invertebrate_animals/calomela_pallida This raises a question over the images on the Brisbane insect website images, which he called pallida .
Don't know why this is called "pallida" when it has such a pretty brilliant colour. A little beauty.
