Sue, it would be GREAT to see these nymphs in my mission "Insects of Costa Rica" ;-)...
Pyrrhocoridae nymphs, I would say.
Sue, could you add this one to my mission "Insects of Costa Rica", too?
They do look like milkweed bugs... but I live in the Costa Rican rainforest. We have this amazing tree that the parrots and toucans love to eat in (the tree actually touches our roof!), but these bugs are on it only when it's fruiting. they have vanished and I assume they will be back in February.
