Description:

This young male is lacking his adult colors including white face. He is perched high in a dead tree in his typical scarecrow pose while he dries out his wings after a spot of fishing.

Notes:

There is a healthy breeding community of possibly ten Darters on this lake, There is a treed island providing excellent habitat. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/20460125
