So I must have remembered that, because I do know that lovely tune; listening to it now.
Well, as it happens there are two bands. One is a British group "Spirogyra" - but who cares. The other is one of my favorite American jazz bands from the 1970's (I think) "Spyro Gyra". Even if you aren't a big jazz fan listen to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kLbEqMRah7s
Spirogyra should be the name of a band. Maybe it is? Anyway -- lovely spotting.
