Description:

This is a face only a mother could love! The nestling in our backyard is fledging, and my oh my, is it in an awkward phase! In the second and third pictures, you can see there is a second hawk in the nest - sadly, I have no idea if it's a sibling or a parent.

Habitat:

Spotted in a tall pine tree in my backyard.
