Spotted these bulbous fungi covering a tree in the San Jacinto Mountains after the first snow day of the season

Species ID Suggestions

Comments (4)

I saw this the day after the first snow, up in the San Jacinto Mountains, if that helps.
Hi Mark, thanks for letting me know. It is for the fungi, but since it's been a couple of years I don't really remember much about it, besides being tan, bulbous growths all over the tree (maybe some kind of pine? not sure)
Just noticed you added it to a fungi mission... but still a description would help. The general habit of it (without better detail) is often a type of crepidotus. Tree species would still help possibly.
Hi Emilie. If you want an ID you will need to add a description. Is it about the tree or the fungi?
