Ok gave you another suggestion. Butterweed, a new plant for me; the petals are not notched. See what you think :)

It has a faint ordor, not sweet more herbal. This wildflower is a cyme, and I did not get a leaf. As you can see in this photo, there are no leaves at the top of the plant. The flower is about 1/2 inch, about 12 petals, and no notches on the end of the petals. I'll go back and look for leaves, since I only brought home a flower.

Did plant have an odor? Do you have a photo of leaf?

I found this same flower but and not convinced it is sneezeweed, because the petals are different. Note the the tri-form petal on the sneezeweed photo. This flower seems to have single petals around the center.

Not 100%sure without seeing the leaf - got a leaf photo?
