Field Notes

Description:

A grey moth with a wing span of 50 mm. The wings had two thin wavy lines and two short broken black lines in the area between. The thorax was covered with thick grey and buff-coloured setae with thin black lines.
Antennae were feathery.

Habitat:

Spotted under bright lights near sports field surrounded by Eucalyptus trees.

This species occurs in all eastern states of Australia and Tasmania.

Notes:

Larvae feed on eucalyptus leaves.
