Field Notes

Notes:

I thought the color was very pretty and unusual for around here. Most things seem to be brown or orange, similar to our dirt. Spotted by Randy =)

Check out the Golden-headed Weevil (Compsus auricephalus). The ridges on the elytra and the coloration seem to be a match to me.
I am not sure. It appears similar to me, but you may want to ask an arthropod expert if you are wary.
jgorneau, I agree that it is a weevil, but the green color and the legs to me look much different than the pics I'm finding of the Green Immigrant Leaf Beetle.
