Field Notes

Description:

A single flower on the stem with 6 petals. Mostly purple with yellow mottling on the insides.

Habitat:

Found by itself on the side of the road in an oak forest. Later I noticed a group of about 2 dozen on another part of the site at Gus Engeling WMA.
