Field Notes

Description:

Very skiddish, about 1' long including tail and very fast runner.

Habitat:

Seen this guy running around my patio every now and then; I have a small veggie garden and lots of bugs. He seems to like it under the shelf I keep my bag of mulch on, and comes out for sunshine if I don't move very much.

Thanks! I looked up the five lined skink, and it looks like they are not prevalent in GA, but I agree there are some striking similarities! I have ID it as a broadhead bec. it lives all over the southeast, and matches all descriptions on EOL.
I saw one of these a last year in Northern Fla. Very cool pictures.
