Field Notes

Description:

Small moth. Elongated and tube-like body. Mostly white with black patches on back of head and middle of back.

Habitat:

Suntaley khola is a remote village in West Bengal, India with the River Moorti flowing by it. There is only one narrow motorable road that ends by the river. Lots of vegetation growing low. Many tall trees too. Very biodiverse. Spotted in the resort we stayed at. It was drawn to the porch light late in the evening...the area under the light was alive with moths!
