Description:
Identified by their brick red bellies,and black stripes on their white throats. Females have a pale red on their bellies and thin stripes on their throats, male have a bright brick red and thick black stripes. Their eggs are always like blue-green. They lay 3-4 eggs.
Habitat:
These birds live everywhere,in backyards,farmlands,parks,woodlands, and in winter they live in berry-producing trees
Notes:
Their songs sound like Tyeep tut-tut-tut.
Parents take turns taking care of the eggs and babies once they have hatched.
