Field Notes

Description:

Brilliant white egret with dark legs, slight colour action to beak. Neck held straight about 65cm tall. No head plumes.

Habitat:

Wetland - In this case a rain water swollen creek, in suburbia under a major road overpass.

Notes:

Discernible from Great Egret by neck held straight and much smaller size. Was not able to get closer because I expected it to fly away. It did! Pic taken on iPhone 4. More about logging the presence of a species than a Kodak moment...

Near Flemington Bridge.
