Description:
This moth was flying around everywhere for about two minutes, until it rested in the grass. This moth is also known as the forage looper moth, and can be found in the United States, and some parts of Canada. This females of this moth has a cream brown color throughout the body, while males have a little of darker brown patterning on the fore-wings. The females falsely resemble moths in the family of Mocis, which is also common in Texas.
Habitat:
In my garden in Fort Worth, Texas.
Notes:
Larva are brown with stripes. The orange looking spot in the middle, is a spot on it's body, where it is worn out (no scales), Probably flown alot.
