Field Notes

Description:

One of the large migratory flycatchers. Sits up tall, long body and crest. Upper parts are an olive brown and the underparts are a grey with a pale yellow belly. Brown tail and reddish color on wings with two wing bars.

Habitat:

Seen them in both dense forests and open. This one was in an open forest of Oak and shrubs

Notes:

This bird was looking for bugs in the post.

Thank you Bernadette, MrJohn, Micolo, and Jemma. I was actually looking for a Sage Sparrow (never spotted) and this bird pops up and lands on the post I am guessing looking for wasps in the post.
