Field Notes

Description:

This is said to be the tiniest butterfly in India. Usually it has four 'jewels' on the underside of the hind wings. But this has only three clearly marked, probably because of the dry season.

Habitat:

All of Africa, South and South-East Asia and some islands of the Pacific.
