Field Notes

Description:

They measure 17 to 30 cm, with a weight of about 120 g. Young specimens show a predominantly green plumage (distinguished yellow, orange and reddish tail, abdomen and head obtained with the maturity).

Habitat:

From South America, specially from the south to the north of brazil.

Notes:

These birds are usually very easily and usually bring home both in the wild and in captivity. The couple usually attached lifetime. Lay eggs 3 to 5, with an incubation of 24 days.
Although not yet in danger of extinction we must not lower our guard against the illegal smuggling of these birds
