Field Notes

Description:

A lovely vine currently in bloom at Silver Springs State Park, on the Swamp Trail.

Yellow trumpet flowers are about 2" long, and have a lovely fragrance hinting of Anise (at least That's what it made me think of.)

All parts of the plant contain a strychnine-related toxin, so make sure any children that have access to it know not to pick or eat any part of it.

Habitat:

Hardwood Hammock.
