Hmm, E. canicularis would have blue wing tips and a blue crown (on the head above the red) as well as orange on the breast: https://goo.gl/images/mSKSLc I can’t tell from the photo, but since you saw the bird in person I’ll let you judge.

Challenging ID, because it also looks similar to the Red-fronted Parrotlet (Touit costaricensis). However, your bird doesn’t have the red under eye color of T. costaricensis... so I favored A. finschi. What do you think?
