Wildlife Spotting

Actually, the name is spelt Calla, it is also known as Lily of the Nile.

Ours grows in April, flowers in May, then dies back and reappears the following year. Hardly a pest. Many common garden plants are noxious. We have hardly any rain here so we water it when it appears.

According to the wikipedia,this is a noxious weed and pest. "It has become naturalised in Australia, particularly in Western Australia where it occurs in areas with high periodical water tables and sandy soils and has been classified as a toxic weed and pest"

We have one of these on our garden, with about a dozen flowers. Now I know what it is!

I found these in the wild too!! So what does it make these Cala Lilies?? Wild flowers?
