Field Notes

Description:

Dark transparent wings with dark red near body. Normally metallic green thorax and abdomen, this one is showing age where the metallic color lessens.

Habitat:

Near water. This one was by a small creek that runs under a road to a rural park.

Notes:

Was totally surprised when I spotted this as I was taking pictures of the Vivid Dancers mating.
