Description:
Chipmunks are small squirrel-like rodents with well-defined stripes down
their backs. They inhabit the understory of many forests in North America.
Chipmunks are opportunistic omnivores with a varied diet of nuts, insects
and mushrooms as well as birds’ eggs and young.
