Field Notes

Description:

small: cap is about 1 in. diameter. stem is about 3 inches long widening to a bulbous base. No volva apparent. white cap brown in the center with low umbo, faint ring on stem, gills white.

Habitat:

on the ground in leaf litter among Oaks and Locusts in Prospect Park, Brooklyn

Notes:

produced a faint white spore print.
