Description:

Brilliant blue flowers buried in the tall grass.

Habitat:

On bank of pond.

Notes:

Sisyrinchium campestre is mentioned more likely in Missouri, but this matched photos of montanum much more closely. Sorry for the poor quality of these pictures.
