Field Notes

Description:

Males are a yellow-orange on most of the body and face. Black throat, eye stripe, black from cap to upper back. Wings are black with white bar. Tail is black on top and yellow-orange underneath. Females are similar to the male but paler.

Habitat:

Open woodlands

Notes:

It was over 100 degrees that day.
