Thanks, Keith! That's why I mentioned to take just Xanthotype sp. instead of getting down to species. I thought that it might be tricky to separate them, so I am glad you had the same problems ;-)...
Moths of this genus cannot be reliably separated by external appearance.
Geometridae, Ennominae, Angeronini, Xanthotype sp., looks like being Xanthotype attenuaria. Please, verify!! Tricky thing, there are some other species around! If you are not 100% sure about the species I would go with Xanthotype sp.. Maybe the range might help as well. http://bugguide.net/node/view/252/bgpage
