Description:
Tickseed is known for its small but abundant yellow flowers, painted maroon near the center. It is an annual forb that grows 12 to 40 inches (30–100 cm).
Habitat:
There were several bunches of these along the roadsides by the ponds at Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge: http://www.fws.gov/refuges/profiles/index.cfm?id=21580
