Description:

I didn't alter the color on this, it was THIS BRIGHT and BEAUTIFUL!! Variegated mop, maybe? Tricholomopsis rutilans. I'm definitely coming back to check on the bunch that are coming up. EcoVillage @ Floyd Bennett Field, BK.

Habitat:

very close to base of a stump in white pine needle ground

Notes:

find of the day!! lovely!! and especially in pouring rain!
