Hi, I hate to make any formal species suggestion from a pic of nymph. I'm not a pro. That said, here's a link to a pic of a Blackish Meadow Katydid (Conocephalus semivittatus). I believe your suspect is a katydid from the size of the head and antennae. The eye coloring is the same and general body patterning is similar to the Blackish Meadow, so I've provided it as a candidate. What I can tell you for sure is congratulations, it's a boy!
