Field Notes

Description:

Usually in small groups but this one was solitary. About 80mm tall with a cap 25mm wide. Dark rose coloured at the centre with radiating lines fading to margin. Stipe fine, straight, pinkish brown, slightly translucent; gills simple, white adnexed; distinct deep red fluid near top.

Habitat:

Wet rain forest floor in national park dominated by eucalyptus.
