Field Notes

Description:

A very bright yellow aquatic flower that is part of the Iris (Iridaceae) family. Grows around 1-1.5 metres tall. The flowers are around 7-10cm in length. Native to the UK and grows best in very wet conditions which is how its seed are dispersed.

Habitat:

seen in the Marshes of Old Moor reserve, owned by the RSPB.
