Field Notes

Description:

A lovely Green Heron that hit the falling light just right to catch the lovely colors of this bird. The iridescence is so intense that, especially between photo one and two, it appears there are two different individuals.

Habitat:

Stagnant pond surrounded by mixed coniferous/deciduous woodlands.

Notes:

This individual was much more comfortable with humans than individuals I've tried to photograph before. However, it was still quite wary.
