Description:
Large Australian Monitor lizard. Reaches a length of 140cm and can weigh up to 6kg. In Aboriginal language it is called bungarra. It is a ground dwelling reptile with a forked tongue like a snake.
Habitat:
Spotted on the banks of the Daly River at Douglas Daly Camping area in Northern Territory Australia.
