Field Notes

Description:

The male oriole is slightly larger than the female. Adults have a pointed bill and white bars on the wings. The adult male is orange on the underparts, shoulder patch and rump. All of the rest of the male is black.

Habitat:

This male is one of a family that have nested in the area for several years. It is in the River Birch tree. They often come to bath in the streams.
