Description:
The oleander aphid is orange-yellow with black cornicles, legs and antennae. Best-known hosts: Oleander, Milkweed, and Vinca. Also feed on Crassulaceae and Solanaceae.
Habitat:
On the seed pods and stems of a common milkweed.
Notes:
The cornicle (or siphuncule) is one of a pair of small upright backward-pointing tubes found on the dorsal side of the last segment of the bodies of aphids. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cornicle
