Purple Orchid with yellow heart. Sorry forgot to take picture of the leaves.

Habitat:

Paronella Park, Queensland, near Jungle and coast.

Mmmm yes you might be right. When i took the pictures and looked at the plant I was pretty sure it was an orchid, but when I saw the pictures, I like you, realized that its centre was "wrong". Anyone?

Not sure what you have Muckpuk, but I don't think it's an orchid. It's very pretty, and the closed flowers are reminiscent of sun orchids, but the centers are wrong.
